An amazing boat trip!

We had such a lovely time exploring Rio Formosa! The guide, Richard, was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area. The tour was around 3 hours and we stopped at the deserted island and the lighthouse island. Would highly recommend, such a wonderful tour and such good value for money!

Boat trip around the Ria Formosa

The boats captain Richard was superb. He gave us plenty of insights about the Ria Formosa and nature surrounding the area. He was extremely helpful to everyone on board and I would highly recommend a trip when he is in charge.

Awesome tour with Rui

We had a wonderful time. The company is very serious.
We had a tour on a boat with a small group (we were less than 10 on the boat), we prefered it than a big group of 50 people.
The area was beautiful, Rui was very nice and gave us a lot of details. He explained everything in French (we are French), and we really appreciated that. Thanks a lot for this tour !

If you are looking for a company to make a tour on Ria Formosa we advice you to go with Formosamar, you’ll enjoy it !

Great trip

Went on the three hour trip to the two islands. Only 11 of us on the boat plus Fernando, who was really great. Very informative, good sense of humour, accomodated French and English speakers, stopped off at various points to show us particular birds and fidler crabs, which made the trip feel very personal. Half hour stop at deserted island and then an hour at the next island - hint, grab a quick snack at the first couple of cafes you come to, the beach bar further over is great but too busy on a Saturday lunchtime to get food in a comfortabletime period (though what we had was lovely).
Overall, a great trip which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I really enjoyed the view. The staff was incredible, very helpful and informative. They were just like going out on the water with a friend. They took us to a nearby island which had some time to explore and even hike to the other side by the lighthouse and enjoy a drink and a snack while people watching and watching the water.
It was a good day.

Brilliant boat tour

We booked this boat tour after seeing brilliant advertisement of it by the Faro marina. It was our last day in Faro, and after speaking to the enthusiastic lady who sold us our tickets for the tour, we were excited to see what the journey would bring.

We arrived at the departure location and met the rest of our group, as well as our guide, Paolo. Swift instructions led us to climb onto the boat and put on lifejackets quickly and easily.

Paolo was an absolutely brilliant tour guide during out 3 hour boat tour in Faro. He was entertaining and funny, while being incredibly knowledgeable about the islands, the marina and also the local birds. We enjoyed how he stopped the boat every so often to point things out and get to know our group by speaking in different languages.

At each island, we were given a length of time to freely roam and explore - around 30 mins on the Ilha Deserta, and 50 mins on Farol. This was more than enough time to explore what these islands offered and take in the breathtaking views and atmosphere.

We went on the afternoon-evening time slot, and so by the time we were sailing back we caught views of the sunset across the water. Paolo even provided small blankets on the boat as we sailed back and caught the breeze of the marina air. A great experience all around.

Great tour. Knowledgable guide who, even with leisurely time to explore each of the islands, kept us on schedule to end the tour with perfect sunset views.
