Portimão heeft een van de laatste en meest opvallende onaangesproken bolwerken van de kust van de Algarve! Het wordt het topje van John van Arens genoemd en bevindt zich aan de voet van de punt van de klif die zijn naam heeft gegeven, in het gezicht West. Ga peddelen langs de kliffen, bezoek grotten en stranden die moeilijk te bereiken zijn over land. Tijdens deze tour zul je de drukte en drukte van andere plaatsen niet vinden! Het is een rustige rit, zonder pleziervaartuigen die constant de geluiden en het landschap vervuilen.

The João de Arens SUP Tour was a great experience. Our guide, Carlos, was very friendly and helpfull. He wanted to make sure we had a great time. The trip started with a good explanation about how to use to the board. And during the tour, Carlos stopped at some nice beaches and caves, with no other tourists around. He gave us advice during the whole tour and helped us if we had diffuculties or if we were tired.
Also, we could use a t-shirt for UV protection and the SUP board was excellent.
The difference with other tours is that this tour was more relaxing due to the fact that there were no other tourists around. So if you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful SUP tour, I would recommend this one !

Relaxed morning

My friend and I visited in August 2019, the height of summer and had a wonderful time. There were only 4 people on this tour and it was great to have an intimate group. Our guild Gui was friendly, fun and professional. He also took photos for us!!
The coastline was stunning and we had the secluded beaches and caves to ourselves! (The previous day we had visited the Benagil cave and it was crowded with around 100 people and the waters were dangerously full of people and boats - so this tour was hugely enjoyable!)
Highly recommend this tour and company.

We booked this fairly last minute (the night before) and loved every minute!
Our guide Gui was very friendly. We arrived early, before the beach became crowded. We then recieved our instructions on how to SUP and before long we were away on the open sea.
We explored extremely quiet secret beach locations and navigated through narrow and low arches and caves.
Gui was patient and took his time with everyone talking and giving us information as we went.
Would highly recommend this tour if you want something that most tourists never see. A real taste of the unseen Algarve.

Althought the hour, was a really nice experience. Our guide Guilherme explained very well the guide lines and encouraged us to stand up paddle.
