Must do tour!

After arriving in São Miguel we wanted to kickoff our journey with a tour. Delfim picked us up at our hotel, and what a guide he was! He's enthusiastic, knows all the best sights and gave us a lot of tips about what to do during our stay. I can say he's the best guide we've ever had!
Excellent 1/2 tour of the 7 cities "Sete Cidades" caldera and surrounding area

Jose was our excellent guide and driver! We had arrived that morning, so this was our first adventure. I would highly recommend this tour to help get acclimated to the island. We enjoyed Jose sharing his wealth of knowledge and love of the Azores. We had a really foggy day so the views from the rim of Sete Cidades were nonexistent. Jose did not disappoint! He knew all the back roads through pastures and took us down to the bottom of the caldera. We walked and drove along the blue lake and the green lake. He showed us and told us about the tunnel that was dug from the shoreline to the lake. We drove on the ocean shoreline, went to the thermal swimming area and walked along the ancient old volcano lava and pumus. Excellent tour!

When our initial plan to visit Setes Cidades via ATV was cancelled because of bad weather, we had to find another tour at the last minute. We were grateful to find a half-day one with T4W. It was only the two of us that morning so it felt like a private tour in the comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser. Filipe our guide took us to multiple viewpoints from which we could admire the majesty of the caldera, and thankfully, the clouds soon parted to reveal sunny skies. We had a wonderful morning, learnt a lot, and would highly recommend this company. Pro tip: Contact them via their website or call/WhatsApp, because the TripAdvisor app doesn’t show all their available tours (we only found out later that they could have taken us on a full day tour of the area).

This was and unbelievable experience. Our guide, Delfin, was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about what he does. He was also a really nice guy. We learned so much about the Island and had a great time. This off-road experience is a must.

Really fun and unique experience, our guide Phillip. Made the tour so much more interesting, sharing history and knowledge of the island, fauna, and buildings. He really took us to roads and areas of the beaten path that are not accessible to regular vehicles and showed us some amazing views. Highly reccomend.

Our Jeep tour with Eduardo was a highlight of our 20 day vacation!
He is an excellent driver, manoeuvring the Jeep with ease in challenging off-road conditions. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to show us things that he knew would be of special interest to us. His gregarious and generous personality made us feel that we had known him a long time; we will be in touch with him when we return to this beautiful island.
The natural beauty of the Azores rivals that of New Zealand, and the best way to see this is with a Jeep tour. Be sure to ask for Eduardo! There can be no better guide!

On the edge of a volcano crater

Fantastic idea to book this trip. Just relax in the car and look at the beautiful landscape. Those cows grazing! The BLUE and the GREEN lakes (a love story). No worries about taking the wrong road or crash. Loved when we drove «off the beaten track». Actually we drove on the edge of the crater - How cool isn’t that? Our driver/guide Filipe did an excellent job. Lots of knowledge, helpful and kind. We learnt so much on this trip. And the sun. Followed us all the way. Perfect! Highly recommended trip!
