This experience includes a stand up paddle (SUP) or kayak lesson, an important familiarization with the necessary devices, a small tour and a free ride for a brief maritime exploration.
It’s a unique way to get to know some “corners” of one of the 7 natural wonders in Portugal, the Ria Formosa.
The experience is aimed at all levels of performance, whether for SUP or kayak.
All equipment is included (suit, Lycra, SUP board, paddle or kayak, paddle and vest), as well as sports insurance.

- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
What To Expect
This place is at the end of Praia de Faro. It is a connecting river and ocean. There is no tourism in this place and you can enjoy the undisturbed beauty of nature.

A really nice activity - the scenery is really cool to explore (Rio formosa), it is easy to use their paddle board, the guide was fun to talk to, I felt very safe on this tour to try for the second time paddle board. Thanks :D
SUP very very good experience

Stand up paddle session. This experience was amazing, even if were supposed to do a surf session in the first place but it has been cancelled due to the weather (no waves) . The salty compagny was very professionnal, always available on WhatsApp and honest about the meteo conditions.
It was our first time of SUP and it was such an amazing experience, our instructor was very nice and professional.

Had an an amazing experience with Oscar. Such a great guide and person. In addition my son accidentally fell in the Faro marina (slipped on the algae) Oscar was right there with first aid kit and net to catch his flip flop that floated away. You can be assured that Oscar will treat you right!

Had a wonderful standup paddle boarding experience with Oscar from Salty Experiences. It was my first time and he taught me super well, and we went on an tour around the nearby island/beaches. I also learnt a lot about Portuguese culture from him and most importantly, Piri Piri!! I really recommend booking with Oscar and Salty Experiences— I booked it very last minute and they were so accommodating about what time we could go. Luckily it was super close to Faro central too.

Excelente passeio de caiaque que o instrutor Nuno Melinho nos proporcionou pelo nosso Paraíso a( Ria Formosa ).Vamos voltar a fazer este passeio mas da próxima vez com a degustação de bivalves :)
